Mission ABC

MISSION ABC

Mission ABC was born by its mother and sponsor organisation; Godson Export Commodities LTD. The Godly mandate to reach out to a billion souls is a product of an approach that Godson Export Commodities LTD. initiated of changing livelihoods. Changing lives economically without Godly discipline is futile. Therefore there was need to obey The Great Commission which is the only way to restore peace, order and stability within the human society.

With experience, Godson group of companies realised that affecting the lives of people by empowering them financially was therefore not enough. Unless their spirituality is empowered, the empowerment may be short lived. Through this cales, there was need to hear from God on a better strategy. We therefore believe that it’s Gods Commission on us to change lives by winning souls.

No other foundation can be laid other than Jesus Christ. When we lay anything on proper foundation it will succeed. When we teach everyone to seek first the Kingdom of God and all His righteousness, then God in His faithfulness to fulfil His word will cause all other things to be added (Matt 6:33).

FUNDING

Mission ABC gets its funding from donors who share the same vision that unless the heart of a person is redeemed, his life is in ruins. Godson Commodities and ChiaOrganic play an important role in sharing part of their proceeds with Mission ABC.

Further to this, Mission ABC invites individuals and organisations to partner not only in funding, but also in implementing its mandate.

Our purpose is to be very effective in winning souls and therefore we seek to account for every dollar given to reach out to at least two souls with the saving gospel of Jesus Christ. The rule is however a guide to accountability but not a compulsory requirement to avoid manipulation of numbers.

IDENTIFYING THE NEED

In the course of dealing with farmers and stakeholders, our team in Chia Organic identifies any existing gaps that affect the people spiritually and hands them over to Mission ABC. Mission ABC will then visit the area to approve that the particular area is an area of need. Areas of need are those which have never been reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ, areas that have been insufficiently reached and areas that are badly hit by poverty and social immoral challenges. However, Mission ABC is not restricted to only the areas that Chia Organic conducts its business.

Mission ABC mandate is in the rural and semi urban areas. We believe that towns are well saturated with the gospel as many pastors choose to work in towns.

PLANNING

Mission ABC planning involves praying and fasting to seek the leading of God before the beginning of each planned mission calendar year. At the end of each year, a board meeting is held to receive the year ending reports, identify areas of SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats). These helps in the future planning of missions.

Soon after the meeting, Mission ABC enters into a period of prayer and fasting. During this time, each player is expected to engage in sacrificing food and leisure for a time to devote to God and seek favour and direction.

For any particular mission, a survey visit is conducted by the Mission ABC secretariats and the area’s patron to network with the local pastors and ministry workers, to identify the actual area for the mission, identify the required facilities needed during mission, put in mechanism to recruit as many missioners from the local environs and to identify with a person of peace to be a local contact person.

SPIRITUAL MAPPING

Through the discipline of Spiritual Mapping, we learn to see things as they truly are and not simply as they appear to be. Spiritual mapping is likened to a doctor’s use of x-rays to diagnose what is being manifested on the outside of the patient. Like the doctor, the mission intercessors will pick from there and prayerfully treat the cause of the problem and not just treat the symptom.

Spiritual mapping shall be conducted on site by the mission patron and the local host pastors. They shall literally walk the area of proposed mission to first observe with their eyes and listen to any prompting of the Holy Spirit. An interview shall then be conducted to with the locals.

Some important questions to ask:

Spirituality:
  • How would you explain the general spirituality of a people in the particular location?
  • What are the main denominations?
  • Are the Christian United?
  • Are the leadership United?
  • Is there an established organisation to bring harmony for the churches to work together
  • Are there cults and what are their influence?
  • Any trace of some strange doctrines? (not based on the word)  List them.
 Occultism:
  • What is the influence of witchcraft on the people?
  • Are there witches, sorceress, diviners, palm readers, mediums etc?
  • Is there an influential witch doctor even out of the locality that the local people frequent to. Is he known by name and location
  • How many are known and what do they exist for?
  • On witchdoctors, how many are in the area and the near neighbourhood?
  • Are there home shrines and protective charms that people embrace?
  • Are there any premature deaths, abortions, madness etc?
  • Are there strange behavioural patterns within some families that could be associated with occultism?
Morality factors:

What are noticeable moral social issues that affect behaviour among people?

  • Drunkenness
  • Divorces
  • Family disorder
  • Immorality
  • Drug abuse
  • Insaneness
  • Strange Diseases
  • Betting
  • Men irresponsible behaviour
  • Irresponsible pregnancies
  • Abortions
  • Unattended orphans and street children

Each of these display a spiritual activity at play.

Once the information is captured, it is shared on Mission ABC social platforms. These act as a guidance for prayer approach before any mission.

MISSIONS

ABC Missions usually take 10 days. The first group arrives at the mission ground on a Wednesday to begin pre-mission campaigns which involve, meeting with local ministry leaders, setting up the hosting venue, purchasing the required foods and items, visits to the schools and institutions within the area, film ministry, initial door to door and visit to all possible local churches to encourage participation.

The other team of locals and visiting missioners reports at the mission venue by Sunday evening. Mission trainings are done every day between 6:30am and 9am.

The area Mission ABC mission patron will divide the area into 4 or more blocks and assign each to a visiting pastor and a number of local pastors. Under the leadership of a visiting pastor who should be very conversant with the Mission ABC model, the pastors will assign teams of two or more persons to strategically cover their given area and as much as it’s possible, get into every home to deliver the message of Christ’s saving grace. In the evening or during the door to door, the lead pastor will plan how to reach those who give their lives to Christ for follow up if it is possible every day within the mission period. The basic discipleship training must be conducted before winding up our mission.
